EWRC suggests the electricity prices to rise by 3.48% from July 1st. The new price will apply to households and small businesses. According to the calculations, the electricity price in Southeastern Bulgaria will increase by 3.59%. For CEZ customers the increase will be 3.46% and for Energo Pro - 3.38%.
The energy regulator has scheduled an open meeting on June 4th. Only stakeholders will attend the meeting. A public discussion will also take place.
The Energy Regulator offers new electricity price every year from July 1. This year, power distribution companies demanded an increase of more than 20%, but a month ago, the Head of the energy regulator, Ivan Ivanov, announced that electricity will rise in compliance with the inflation, which exceeds 3%.
