On 19th of October, Sofia City Court acquitted Vesselin Georgiev, the former Head of Republican Road Infrastructure Fund on the second court case against him. Georgiev, known to the public as the “Big Brother”, was accused of misappropriating nearly 100,000 BGN through 5 contracts for conducting public opinion surveys.
Earlier in 2015, Georgiev was acquitted in another case, known as “the big brother and brother” case. He was accused of signing 8 public procurement contracts worth 120 million BGN with companies related to his brothers Boiko and Emil Georgievi.
