The famous Bulgarian actor Ivan Ivanov died at the age of 72 after a serious illness.
The role which made him one of the most popular Bulgarian actors in the 1980’s is that of the teenage rebel Rado in the film Everything’s Love (1979)
He was a favourite actor for generations of Bulgarians with his memorable roles in the films The Racket (1982), Avalanche (1982), Combine (1982 ), Measure of Remand (1983 ), Nights with the White Horses (1985) and many others.
Apart from cinema, Ivan Ivanov is also known for his performances on the theatre stage and his voice can be heard in many films he voiced over.
He has won a number of awards and honours, including the honorary Icarus for honour and dignity.
