The first batch of Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines against Covid-19 arrived in Bulgaria on December 26. The vaccines were transported in a refrigerated lorry from Belgium at -70 degrees.
Bulgaria’s Health Minister Kostadin Angelov said that the 9750 doses were placed in the freezer in the building of Bulgarian state-owned pharmaceuticals firm Bul Bio in Sofia.

The vaccines will be administered to 4875 people working on the frontline in the fight against the virus.
The immunisation starts Sunday, December 27.
So far, nearly 45,000 frontline workers are willing to be immunized The number of those wishing to be vaccinated is increasing.
I will be the first to be vaccinated, Health Minister said.
The vaccination begins tomorrow, December 27, in Sofia, Plovdiv and Bourgas. The vaccines will be distributed to the remaining regions on December 28 and 29.
