On 26th of August, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov is on a visit to Istanbul. This is the first meeting with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yıldırım. The main topic of the discussions will be the migration crisis.
Despite the migration pressure, the ethnic peace in country is stable, the PM said after the meeting.
The visit to Turkey takes place a day before Borissov’s meeting with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and several European leaders, which will be held in Berlin, where the main topic of the discussions will also be the issues related to the migration crisis.
In an interview for the German paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, PM Borissov noted that the meeting in Berlin should make it clear that Bulgaria was not alone and warned of a possibility of a new wave of migrants to Europe.
The Bulgarian PM is expected to meet with The President of Turkey. Recep Erdogan.
