Flu epidemic declared in Silsitra as of 15th of January

Flu epidemic will be declared in the North Bulgarian district of Silistra on 15^th of January.

Flu cases in Shumen and Bourgas increase to epidemic level, Bulgaria’s chief health inspector Angel Kounchev told BNT.

Schools in Silsitra are not going to cancel classes unlike Starta Zagora, where flu epidemic will be in place also since 15^th of January and schools will be temporarily closed from 16 to 18 January.

Hospitals are recommended to suspend visits to patients, prophylactic immunizations, consultations for children and pregnant women.
