A freezer for storage of Covid-19 vaccines arrived in the coastal city of Bourgas on December 7.
It will be used for the supply of vaccines for the Southeastern region of Bulgaria, which includes the districts of Yambol, Sliven and Bourgas.
The freezer works at temperatures from - 40 to - 86 degrees per Celsius, Velichka Grigorova from the regional health inspectorate told BNT.
The freezer has a capacity to hold 175,500 doses. It will be placed in a secure premise with controlled access. We have provided such a place for the freezer. The access will be given to RHI staff, Dimitar Nikolov, the mayor of Bourgas explained.
It is not yet clear when the first batch of vaccines will arrive in the country. An order by the health minister is expected.
