Further 18,720 doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19 will arrive in Bulgaria on January 18. Together with the previous 38,750 doses, which have already been delivered, and 4,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine, about 30,000 people in the country can be immunized.
The shipment, which arrives today, is about half of the requested 35,000 doses that had to be delivered. Pfizer manufacturers announced last week that they were cutting production temporarily.
The quantity which Bulgaria receives now will ensure the re-immunization of everyone from the first stage of the vaccination plan in Bulgaria.
