Gas pipe expoded on 23rd of October in the region of the town of Pavlikeni in the northern Bulgaria.
There is no danger for the life and safety of the residents, said Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy, Temenuzhka Petkova. No one was hurt i n the blast and there were no damages. The explosion occured outside the residential areas, between the villages of Nedan and Batak.
The region has been zoned off. Teams of the National Fire Safety and Protection of Population Service arrived on the place of the incident.
All protection systems were switched on and the taps were turned off. The pipeline was taken out of service and is expected to start operating normally as soon as it is repaired.
Technical teams are working on restoring the gas supply in the area.
