Strong smell of gas caused by a broken gas pipeline forced the evacuation of all students from the High School of Commerce in the Second largest Bulgarian city of Plovdiv shortly after 14:15 on 4th of October.
It turned out that the leak was caused by workers while demolishing the corner house on Gladstone boulevard. The house was demolished several days ago.
Emergency response teams arrived at the place of the incident. Safety measures have been taken in the area. The children from the school were evacuated and taken to Bunardzhika, within a walking distance. Some of them have complained of nausea.
