The parties from the ruling coalition, GERB and the United Patriots, have submitted to the National Assembly a draft law to make changes to the Law on the State of Emergency, which will allow all quarantined and people who are being treated in medical institutions to exercise their right to vote in the elections. This was announced by the chairwoman of the GERB parliamentary group Daniela Daritkova on January 15.
The changes give the Central Election Commission the power to create plans, as well as to provide means to protect people's health and safety. The draft enables people who are abroad with expired identity documents to be able to identify themselves with them in the vote.
