After a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov on 26th of October, the Cabinet launched a procedure for allocating BGN 1 million to the municipalities of Bourgas and Kameno to cover the costs of the emergency and recovery activities and assistance to the people affected by the torrential rains.
Currently, teams on site are making assessment of the damages to the public infrastructure, said Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, who is also chair of the Interagency Commission for Reconstruction and Assistance. The Commission has a reserve of 2 million BGN as at 2017, which can also be granted for repair work by the end of the year.
Bourgas and Kameno are the most affected municpalities after the heavy rains that caused floodings in the area. Thee people died and a woman is still unaccounted for.
