The Prime Minister Boyko Borissov held a working meeting with members of the National Operational Headquarters for Combating Coronavirus. During the meeting, Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov reported on the development of the COVID-19 pandemic in Bulgaria.

The specific parameters regarding morbidity and mortality in the country were discussed. An examination was made of the workload of the hospitals in our country.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the NIGHT Prof. Ventsislav Mutafchiiski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Krassimir Karakachanov, Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev and the directors of Pirogov and Alexandrovska Hospital - Prof. Asen Baltov and Prof. Boris Bogov.

"The whole world is in a pandemic. Our health care system is fighting heroically right now. The life and health of the Bulgarians have always been in the first place in every action we undertook. I am glad that we also have many recoveries from Covid-19. At the same time, we monitor the percentage of those infected. No measure should go too far, a balance is needed. "In order to increase incomes and pensions, to help businesses, to buy vaccines or to support hospitals - for all this we need to have a working economy," the PM wrote on his Facebook profile after the meeting.

"We are discussing the current situation with the Minister of Health and the members of the task force. Every report of the doctors is carefully analysed," he added.
