"I'm suspending my election campaign! I didn't have to think too long before I made the decision, because it's the right one!", Bulgaria’s Minister of Health, Kostadin Angelov, wrote on his Facebook profile on March 9.
He added that he had informed the Prime Minister of his decision and had received support.
"I am sure that I will receive support from those who sympathize with me, as well as from my critics," Angelov added.
According to him, the only priority remains the health and life of the Bulgarian citizens.
"Today, more than ever, my place is in the ministry - where I can give the most to achieve our common mission - to leave COVID-19 in the past and move forward stronger, wiser, but most of all in good health! ", Kostadin Angelov wrote.
