А Mediterranean cyclone will permanently settle over the Balkan Peninsula, the climatologist Assoc. Prof. Georgi Rachev told BNT on 23rd of October. According to him, "Ulrike" is the anti-cyclone that will "push" the Mediterranean cyclone to the south and on 24th and 25th of October will have a significant impact on the weather in Bulgaria - mainly with a decrease in temperatures and with heavy rainfall.
It will get warmer in Bulgaria on Thursday and Friday, but then temperatures will drop again. On Saturday and Sunday there will be significant rainfalls, overall October is going to be a warm and very pleasant month with about 1-1.5 degrees above the norm, Georgi Rachev added.
Winter in Europe, including in Bulgaria, is expected to be warm, about 1-2 degrees above normal. The rainfall in the coming months will be less than last year, the climatologist predicts.
