Heavy snow causes difficult driving conditions at Shipka pass

Heavy snowfall at Shipka pass (Northern Bulgaria) caused difficulties in the road traffic on 15^th of February. The snow cover is nearly 40 cm.

20 snow ploughing machines have worked all night to clear the roads.

The snow cover is a metre and a half at the top of the mountain. Police cars patrolled the pass all evening. Weather is expected to get better today.
