The hotel owners Vetko and Marinala Arabadzhievi, who were circulated as wanted under a European arrest warrant and Interpol red notice, were detained in Spain.
The Spanish police arrested them in the property of Georgi Semerdzhiev, also known as Zhoro Shopa, in Barcelona.
Arabadzhievi were accused in absentia of involvement in an organized crime group, particularly large-scale tax evasion and money laundering. They are expected to be extradited to Bulgaria.
The Spanish police have also arrested the person who was hiding them, who was wanted for crimes in Switzerland.
