In Azerbaijan Bulgaria’s President Declares Support for Southern Gas Corridor

Azerbaijan plays a key role in the diversification of energy sources for Eastern and Central Europe. That is why we support this project, Bulgaria’s President Roumen Radev said at the beginning of the talks with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on 13^th of October during his two-day official visit to Baku.

The Bulgarian President declared his support for the Southern Gas Corridor where Azerbaijan plays a key role. In his words, this project will contribute to the diversification of energy sources for Eastern and Central Europe. "Good political dialogue is a proof of good relations in all spheres, and we support this project. There is an opportunity to develop other infrastructure projects," Roumen Radev said.

He is on a visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev. On 13^th of October, the two Presidents will have a one-to-one meeting followed by plenary talks between the delegations of the two countries.

It is expected that the talks will discuss aspects of bilateral political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation and partnership in the fields of education, science and culture, energy and transport relations and cooperation, topical international issues and issues of global security and migration.
