A lorry carrying 21 irregular migrants crashed on Bulgaria’s Trakiya motorway, the district directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Bourgas said on 25th of July.
The lorry crashed into the dividing barrier between the two lanes and overturned on the road. When the police arrived at the scene, the driver was not found at the place of the accident.
The migrants said they were from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. Six of them were admitted for treatment in the hospital in Yambol with multiple injuries. The other 15 were examined by medical teams in the hospital in Sliven and later handed over to the police station in the town of Karnobat.
