MINERS ENDED THE UNDERGROUND PROTEST

After staying for 50 hours underground, all miners from Babino pit came out in the evening on 13th of October and ended the protest.

Bulgaria's Ombudsman Maya Manolova, who spent the last few hours underground together with the protesters, also came out of the mining gallery.

Gradual payment of all wages and food vouchers to all miners was agreed at the negotiations with the management of the mine.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Borissov said that if payment of the miners' remunerations was further delayed, steps should be taken for withdrawal of the mining concession for Babino pit of Bobov Dol coal mine.
