Netherlands will support Bulgaria in dealing with the migrant crisis and probably will provide specific assistance in the area of cyber security. This became clear after the 5th of October meeting between the Bulgarian Minister of Defence Nikolai Nenchev and his Dutch counterpart Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.
The two discussed the necessity of a common European Union position regarding the readmission agreement with Afghanistan. Speaking after the meeting, Plasschaert said she considered the talks with minister Nenchev as a first step towards a more constructive and responsible dialogue between Bulgaria and Netherlands to jointly deal with the challenges they faced.
