More than 2 million BGN were collected in the fourteenth edition of the Bulgarian Christmas charity campaign held under the auspices of Bulgaria’s Head of State.
This year, the campaign raises money in support of children with severe chronic diseases.
The traditional charity concert was held on Christmas evening in the National Threatre Ivan Vazov in Sofia. It was attended by President Rosen Plevneliev and Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte.
Famous Bulgarian musicians, dancers, athletes, actors and journalists joined the charity event, among them folk singer Nikolina Chakardakova, Bulgaria’s representative in 2016 Junior Eurovision, Lidia Ganeva, the representative in 2014 Junior Eurovision, Krisia, children from Lyubomir Pipkov Music School and many more.
