The train movement between the stations of Petarch and Kostinbrod in Western Bulgaria was restored in the early hours on 29th of August - at 2:45 a.m. According to information of the Bulgarian Railway Company, all trains services are provided without delays.
The train services between the two stations were temporarily stopped in the afternoon on 29th of August because 7 freight train cars came off the tracks. The reasons for the incident are still not clear, but the main version is that it was a technical error.
The passengers from the international trains travelling on Sofia- Belgrade line were transported by buses in that section as the tracks were under repair. The train services were restored after the damages were removed.
