In all our relations with all our neighbours and all European Union member states, we will always be guided by the principles of goodwill and respect for public international law.” This was stated today by Timcho Mutsunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia, at the international ministerial conference in Sofia.
“We are a country which, judging by its results to date, has proven itself to be an excellent candidate. We hope to be assessed on that basis, and we hope the conditions will be such that we remain an excellent candidate when the European Union is ready to take what is ultimately a political decision. Enlargement is and has always been a political decision taken by the member states by consensus. We will do our part. We will act responsibly. We will be proactive in finding solutions to problems, but the decision never rests entirely with our country,” Mutsunski added.
