The training will include a simulation of an airborne landing with parachute drops of troops and equipment and will take place after 9:00 p.m.in the region of Tenevo and Balchik airports and at Novo Selo training ground in Bulgaria. The airborne operation is part of an international training, being held from 20th of August to 13th of September.
About 400 military personnel from the US, Italy and Bulgaria will participate in the airborne training event, using specialised equipment, aircrafts and helicopters.
Night flights will also be conducted south of the town of Yambol, close to the villages of Tenevo and Karavelovo. and in the area of Balchik municipality. It is possible that the residents will be disturbed by the noise of the aircrafts, the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence says.
The zones in the airspace above the training area in Shabla and the adjacent water area between Cape Kaliakra and Cape Kartalborun, which is a 100 km stretch of the sea off the coastline, will be defined as temporarily dangerous for airrafts and vessels.
