New Covid measures in Sofia from today - masks have become mandatory in health institutions and nursing homes, pharmacies, drug stores and optical shops. They are also recommended on public transport.
For now, the measures are implemented only in the capital, but it is expected that in the next few days other Regional Health Inspectorates will declare similar rules as well.
The number of people infected with coronavirus in the country is increasing. Close to 2300 new cases were registered from more than 9200 tests made in the last 24 hours.
Approximately 25% of the tests are positive. 7 people have died. Over 63% of the newly infected are not vaccinated for COVID-19.
