On 18th of August, hundreds of motor bikers again took to the streets of various cities in Bulgaria to protest over the developments related to the death of a couple, who were killed in a road accident by a Turkish national. Faruk Bektas, who was on his way from Germany to Turkey, transiting Bulgaria, hit a couple of motorbikers on 24th of July. The court placed him under house arrest but within days after the ruling the police could not find him at the address cited in the court ruling. Bektas is now on a list of persons wanted internationally.
The protesters said they wanted justice and called for tougher measures against people involved in road accidents causing death.
