MPs from the Parliament's Budget and Finance Committee voted on 20th of June to cut the party subsidy from BGN 11 to BGN 1 this year.
This in practice means that by the end of this year, the subsidy of the parties will be 6 BGN per real vote, as already half of the subsidies have been paid.
MRF and the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) were against the decrease of the subsidies to 1 BGN.
The MRF explained that the reduction would financially bind the parties with business interests.
