Bulgaria’s Parliament on 19th of June adopted a ban on loud noise in outdoor areas from 14:00 to 16:00 and from 23:00 to 8:00 in the mornings.
The limits apply to all days of the week, not only for Saturdays and Sundays and for the territory of the whole country.
Police are given higher powers if they identify violation of the law. They will have the right to close noisy entertainment venues without waiting for standpoints by other institutions.
The fines for individuals who violate the noise level requirements will be from BGN 500 to BGN 6,000 when the violation is repeated. The fines for legal entities will be up to BGN 12,000.
