Bulgaria’s Parliament on 6th of March unanimously rejected the President's veto on Election Code amendements. All 154 MPs voted to overturn the veto.
Today's debates have passed in the absence of MPs from the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), who do not take part in plenary sittings for third week in a row. The ruling parties GERB and United Patriots, that form the parliamentary majority, have already stated their intention to take their legislative initiative to restore the old preferences in the Election Code.
