Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on 24th of January met with mothers of disabled children from a nationwide pro-reform initiative to discuss with them changes in the disability assessment system and measures against fraud against the pension insurance system.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of health, social policy, interior and the deputy-chief prosecutor, who briefed the mothers from the initiative on the results from the checks undertaken by the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor’s office in the system for medial assessment of disability.
The Prime Minister told the mothers that the government kept its promise to provide additional resources and make life better for disabled people, and is now focused on reforming the system for medial assessment of disability.
