I offer you peace. I offer you to appoint the experts, take responsibility to get out of the pandemic by December and move on, the leader of the centre-right GERB party, Boyko Borissov, said in the first comments after the parliamentary elections on April 4.

Instead of blabbering on about who's greater, let's think about how to be more consolidated because the world is watching us.

This is the fifth occasion that the political party GERB has won the general election, Borissov said.

I thank my party and in several days I will thank the entire sovereign - the people, who went to the polls in the pandemic and we have a pretty decent voter turnout.

Slavi Trifonov, the leader of “There is Such a People” wrote in his official Facebook profile that he has had symptoms of Covid-19 and was doing the necessary tests.

And since personal responsibility requires it, I am in self-isolation, he added.

"But it doesn't matter. What matters is what happened today. What matters is what you did today. If you've been wondering what the sovereign looks like, that's what it looks like."

Usually after elections, all parties are declared winners. Today the winners are you, the people! You have demanded power and change is inevitable "

Due to the dynamics of the election results, we will not comment on them tonight, the chairman of the national election headquarters of the left-wing Bulgarian Socialist Party, Georgi Svilenski, said at a briefing at the party’s headquarters on April 4.

We are conducting a complete parallel counting of the votes from all polling stations in the country and we hope that these results will coincide with the final results, which will be announced by the Central Election Commission, Svilenski added.

We leave all the comments from these forecast exit polls to the other political parties, the socialist was firm.

Our assessment of what we saw in the media and the exit poll analysis is that Bulgarian voters voted for the change, MRF Chairman Mustafa Karadayi commented on the election results.

We from the MRF also opted for change, so our reading of the general assessment at the moment is that the Bulgarian voters chose the change, Karadayi added.

In response to journalistic questions about a possible coalition with MRF, the party leader stressed that he would not comment until the final results from the elections were announced.

Karadayi congratulated all voters in the country and abroad for the high turnout in the conditions of a pandemic. He thanked all the voters who voted for the MRF and all the structures of the party and its activists, who, in his words, conducted a very good campaign.

We are seeing the outlines of one new Bulgaria, where Borissov can continue to win elections with his huge administrative and financial resources, but cannot hold on to power, said Hristo Ivanov, a leader of Democratic Bulgaria party.

GERB lost this election. The protest vote won, Maya Manolova, co-chair of the coalition "Rise up! Thugs out!", told BNT in relation to the election results.

According to all sociologists, we will be part of the next parliament, Manolova was firm.

When asked with whom she is inclined to form a coalition with in the next Parliament, Manolova said the final results would be awaited.

Throughout the day, we had dozens of signals for vote buying and controlled vote so that one of GERB's crutches could secure votes, Manolova said.

The protest vote is seen as the first political force. Under no circumstances will we support GERB and MRF, Manolova stressed.

"Democratic Bulgaria" and "There is such a people" are not our competitors, we are partners and the big battle was against the status quo party, and I think the protest vote won, Manolova added.

The position of IMRO is the most predictable. We do not form unprincipled coalitions, IMRO party leader Krassimir Karakachanov said from the headquarters in Pleven.

"I have said it many times - IMRO does not give up and is not for sale. GERB are our partners, we worked normally in the previous coalition government.. We had many discrepancies, but in the end I think we have done many useful things for the country during those 4 years."
