polls most bulgarians not want snap elections

According to a survey conducted in January by Mediana polling agency, 43% of the Bulgarians in the cities want GERB to complete its term of office. 28% voted for early elections.

For six months, the number of people who want early elections has not increased, and those who want GERB to complete its term of office have dropped by 3%.

The respondents have a positive assessment for the public works and the reduction of unemployment, but in all other public spheres, the view is that things are getting worse.

Particularly negative are the assessments regarding crime, healthcare, corruption and living standard of people and especially pensioners.

At the moment, the oposition BSP has more supporters in the cities than GERB. The two major political parties are ina close race, having a fully equilised electoral potential, respectively 25.5% and 25.8%. Support for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) is stated by 9.5% of the voters, and by 7.1% .for United Patriots (an alliance of nationalist parties that is the minority partner in Prime Minister Boyko Borissov’s government).

"Volya", "Democratic Bulgaria" and ABC receive 1.8% of the vote of the Bulgarians living in the cities.

Mediana agencysuggests that the result gives BSP a lead at national level, as in the villages that the study does not cover, the MRF and BSP resources are higher and the alternative and traditionally "urban" parties are less represented.
