President Rumen Radev visited the village of Pokraina, Vidin region, on the occasion of the Day of the Vine-Growers and wine and vine celebrated on February 14.
Radev took part in the traditional celebration of the holiday at the square in Pokraina and addressed the residents and guests of the village.
Bulgaria celebrates the Wine and Vine Day – Trifon Zarezan
The President took part in the ritual of vine pruning in the vineyards between the villages of Gomotartsi and Koshava.
The Head of State was accompanied by his wife, Dessislava Radeva.

"Happy Trifon Zarezan and Valentine's Day! Whichever of the two holidays you have chosen to celebrate today, and why not both, I wish you good mood and pleasant emotions!" wrote President Rumen Radev on Facebook.
In his words, Saint Trifon is the strong link with the millennia-old tradition of our ancestors, with the land, fertility and the magic of wine.
"Let us not forget that it is love that makes everything meaningful. Happy holiday!", Rumen Radev added.
