In an official ceremony on 6th of November in Sofia, Bulgaria’s Head of State, President Rumen Radev, presented the national flag to the participants in the 27th Bulgarian Antarctic expedition. The flag was accepted by the head of the expedition, Prof. Hristo Pimpirev.
The President assured the team of polar researchers that they can always rely on support from the presidential institution.
President Radev reminded that this is a tradition introduced by President Zhelev and consistently followed by all subsequent presidents. He wished a lot of new scientific results, successful return of all expedition members and the Bulgarian flag to be proudly waving on the White continent.
