The outgoing Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will be invited to the Parliament on April 16 for a hearing on the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. This was decided by the Council of Chairs of the 45th National Assembly at its first sitting on April 15.
The proposal for the hearing comes from the parliamentary group of “Rise up! Thugs out.”
National Assembly Speaker Iva Miteva said they would contact the Prime Minister in connection with his attandance in Parliament tomorrow.
By the end of the day, she will sign that the media will have full access to all parts of the parliament building, subject to anti-epidemic measures.
The 45th National Assembly began its work with a solemn sitting.
Iva Miteva pointed out that they would submit a proposal to have no Easter vacation and to hold sittings. “Moreover, it is a matter of two days and there is no need for the National Assembly to be on vacation, given the long period in which the assembly did not sit because of the election campaign," she added.
The proposals of "There is Such a People" for changes in the Electoral Code will be submitted today, Miteva informed. The group hopes for support.
Tomorrow we will start with a hearing of Prime Minister Borissov, who has not appeared in Parliament, as they claim, for a year and a half," the chair of the PG of "Rise up! Thugs out!" Maya Manolova said.
Tomorrow there will be a hearing on the Recovery and Sustainability Plan and a committee will be set up to review the governance and the money spent, she added.
We also agreed that tomorrow the first three committees that will be established – legal affairs, budget and health will be discussed and respectively their members will be elected, said Maya Manolova.
Until the renovation of the other building of the Parliament is completed, the meetings will be held in the old building, Manolova added. The sitting tomorrow will start at 10.00, she announced.
