There is no danger to the health of the people who consumed the eggs with elevated levels of fipronil, Ivailo Kudrev, the vet of the two farms where fipronil-affeted eggs were found yesterday said on 15th of September.
He said that the investigation is ongoing as the source of fipronil from where the contamination started is not clear yet. He was firm that no banned substances were used in the farm for the disinfection of the animals.
At this stage, the two companies firmly refuse to comment on the version of deliberate sabotage until inspections are completed.
Thousands of eggs were removed from the shelves on 14th of September over concerns that they contain fipronil.
