Hundreds of taxis and buses took to Battenberg Square in downtown Sofia on November 25. Their main demandt is to incriminate illegal transportation of passengers in the country.
From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the carriers stopped working, and all intercity bus services are stopped until tonight.
Traffic in the area has already been unblocked.
The industry is against the veto, which returns for revision the texts that criminalise unregulated transportation of passengers. The industry is adamant that they want criminalisation of illegal transportation only.
If the MPs do not adopt the rejected texts, the bus carriers and taxis threaten to stop the transport for a long period of time.
