The renovation of the women’s market in Sofia has been completed. The market is an emblematic place for the capital with more than 140 years of history. Nearly 100,000 BGN were invested in the the large-scale upgrade. The municipality's expectations are to make the place even more attractive not only as a market but also as a modern recreation area.
After the renovation, the market not only kept its spirit, but there is already a growth in the number of visits and customers.
Within the next two weeks, 32 new cameras will be installed for the purposes of 24-hour surveillance. This will increase the security of customers and traders. Every day over 60,000 people pass through the market.
Traders are pleased with the renovation, but complained that they pay higher rents after it.
