A Saudi-Italian consortium “Arcad” is offering the lowest price for the construction of the Bulgarian section of the TurkStream gas pipeline.
This was announced after the opening of the offers in the auction. The offer of the second participant in the tender, an Italian-Luxembourg consortium, is almost twice as high.
The deadline for implementation is 25o days.
A Hungarian consortium was not admitted to the auction.
The Saudi-Italian consortium offered almost 1 billion 102 million euro. The bid of the second participant admitted to the tender was 1 billion 600 million euros.
Vladimir Malinov, the head of Bulgartransgaz explained that by the end of this month the final decision of the tender commission will be announced regtarding the candidate that will be selected as builder of the pipeline.
Bulgartransgaz announced that by the end of April will launch the public procurement for the construction of the two compressor stations on the Bulgarian route of TurkStream, one near Provadia and the other near Rassovo.
The first deliveries are scheduled to start on January 1, 2020. At the Bulgarian-Turkish border, 15.8 billion cubic metres of gas will be received, 11 billion at the Serbian , 9 billion at the entrance of Hungary and 4.3 billion the Slovak border.
