Flue epidemics has been declared in several districts in Bulgaria and school holidays was extended until 90th of January. Students were supposed to return to class on 5th of January but because of the spreads of the influenza some schools will extend the holidays.
School holidays is extended for the districts of Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Dobrich, Varna, Bourgas, Haskovo, Montana, Rousse and Pernik.
Health authorities in Bulgaria report increased flu activity in the last days on 2016 and the beginning of 2017. Currently, the flu cases in the country are between 150,000 and 200,000. The largest number of patients with flu is forecast at the end of January.
Visiting is restricted in the hospitals in all areas affected by the flu outbreak.
