The oldest university in Bulgaria – Sofia university “St. Kliment Ochridski” opened the academic year with an official ceremony on 3rd of October.
As part of the tradition, the celebrations included laying of wreaths at the monument of the two brothers Evloghi and Hristo Georgievi, who had provided the financial support to build the university building, solemn speeches and presenting students books to freshmen.
At the start of this academic year, Sofia University is already 50 positions ahead in the world ranking and is among the best 700 universities.
