Powerful gusts have uprooted around a dozen 60-year-old fir trees in the town of Dobrinishte. At present, there are no reports of injuries, though the strong winds continue.

Another incident was reported on December 28 in the “Alen Mak” neighbourhood of Blagoevgrad, where a tree fell onto a pavement. No one was injured in that case either. A code orange warning for dangerously strong winds remains in effect across southwestern Bulgaria today.
