Bulgaria’s Supreme Administrative Prosecutor's Office (SAP) on October 8 requested information from the caretaker Minister of Health on whether there were written rules for admission of children with coronavirus in hospitals and whether the application of child-friendly tests in children's groups was regulated. The reason is the increased morbidity among children and young people, according to the prosecutor's office.
SAP proposes to the caretaker Minister of Health to take actions related to the organization and effectiveness of the oversight of the implementation of the existing anti-epidemic measures.
SAP also asked the caretaker Minister of Health to provide information on whether there is an order for supervision of the vaccination process - what it says and whether it is implemented, respectively for violations and measures to eliminate them, as well as for "issuance" of certificates without vaccination.
The caretaker Minister of Health was also asked to send information on whether there is an act for checking persons with vaccination certificates (whether they have actually been vaccinated) and how this is regulated.
The prosecutors also seek clarification on whether a control regulation has been issued for laboratories that conduct tests for coronavirus. The caretaker Minister of Health should inform SAP whether an analysis of the causes for high mortality of COVID-19 patients in Bulgaria is anticipated.
The Ministry of Health is requested to send information to SAP as soon as possible, the institution added.
