The talks on the forming of a new government with the mandate of the Reformist Bloc have failed. So there will not be a new cabinet and there will be early elections.
After a week of negotiations, on 20th of December, GERB, the Reformist Bloc and the Patriotic Front decided there were differences between them and therefore would not be able to form a cabinet within the current National Assembly.
The talks went on for more than 2 hours on 20th of December. They were intended to clear the differences, but despite the efforts to reach consensus, they ended without a result.
The Reformist Bloc will return the mandate to President Rossen Plevneliev tomorrow, 21st of December.
