Employers and job seekers met at the tenth largest career forum in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia on 5th of September. The jubilee edition is for Bulgarians who got their experience and education abroad. The aim is to enable job-seekers to get more information about opportunities for their professional realization in Bulgaria. More and more highly qualified Bulgarians are returning to Bulgaria to look for work here. The organizers of the career forum say that most participants come from the UK and Germany. Many return from the United States, the Netherlands and France. The forum is under the patronage of the European Parliament.
Teodor Stoychev, Head of Information Office of the European Parliament in Bulgaria, says that there is always a need for qualified, ambitious people.
They have also been abroad, which is very useful for the simple reason that going abroad they lived and worked in a different culture, environment, with different educational or working ethics, he said.
According to Karamfilka Kutumanova, who works in the Human Resources Department of a company, it is important to have a good command of foreign languages.
Lilia Kostova, attending the forum told BNT that she hoped to find a job after returning from abroad where she finished her education.
I speak English and German and I hope to find a job where I can use these two languages as a teacher. I returned to Bulgaria six months ago after studying abroad and I am currently in the process of finding a job, she said.
