The two accomplices of the suicide bomber in the terrorist attack at Bourgas airport (Sarafovo) in 2012 were sentenced to life imprisonment in the last instance, Prosecutor General, Ivan Geshev, told journalists on March 7.
"There is a final judgment of conviction in the last instance for the two accomplices of the Sarafovo bomber - without the right of substitution. The civil claims of 5 Israeli citizens and one Bulgarian citizen, including numerous victims, have been upheld," he said.
According to the evidence in the case, one of the biggest attacks in the Bulgarian history was carried out by individuals linked to the Hezbollah group.

On 18th of July, 2012, a bomb exploded in a bus with Israeli tourists just arriving for their vacation in the Bulgarian coastal city of Bourgas. The blast killed five Israeli citizens, a Bulgarian bus driver and 35 people were injured. The seventh victim was the bomber himself.
