Singers, dancers and story-tellers will get together for the jubilee edition of the National Fair of Bulgarian Folklore in the town of Koprivshtitsa, Western Bulgaria, for the period 7th to 9th of August.
The event is run under the patronage of Ms. Irina Bokova, General Director of UNESCO.
The fair will be organized on seven stages, where the best of Bulgarian folk art heritage will be presented.
More than 18,000 participants from the whole country and abroad will perform and some 400,000 visitors are expected to attend over the three days of the fair.
Since 1965, the fair has been held every 5 years. This year, it celebrates 50 years since it first took place.
