On 17th of January, Bulgaria’s outgoing Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva presented the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018.
The artist Todor Angeliev is the author of the logo. His project collected the largest number of points in the competition for the logo, which was launched in 2016.
The logo includes three elements – the Cyrillic alphabet, the traditional Bulgarian embroidery and the Bulgarian flag.
The rose, Bulgarian embroidery and the Cyrillic alphabet were among the elements which were most frequently used by the authors in the competition.
A total of 180 authors took part in the competition, including foreign ones.
