Kiril Cholakov, the head of the mountain rescue team in Dupnitsa told BNT on 6th of January that the man found under the avalanche in Rila mountain has died. The body is being prepared for transporting.
About 40 people and specially trained dogs took part in the rescue operation. The incident was reported at 11:55 by the brother of the trapped tourist. About 14:55, the rescue team found the man alive, but his pulse was weak. Reanimation was undertaken, but despite the efforts the man died.
